HKD is a company that makes snow machines for ski slopes (and the like). They were looking to get some swag to hand out that was a little retro and fringe, something that their competitors might not be doing. I came up with the idea of reworking a popular 80’s video game character, changing his clothing and appearance to show a robot in a HKD themed snow ensemble shooting snow instead of laser beams.
